Why doesn't video appear in e-mail?
-
I just posted on my blog (http://soaphope.wordpress.com/2014/07/09/sun-sun-sun-here-it-comes/). There is a DailyMotion video embeded in the post.
The e-mail that subscribed people receive from WordPress doesn’t have the video embedded – or linked – or anything. It’s just stripped from the post, which of course makes the introductory text before the video unintelligible.
Why does WordPress allow you to embed a video in your post, if it’s just going to strip it out for the e-mail subscribers?

HI there!
So if you embed a Youtube or VideoPress video into a post there is a method to grab an image thumbnail; however, this is not the case for Dailymotion videos. I have reported this back to our developers and once I hear back, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you!

It doesn’t work for YouTube either. I just made a post, and in the e-mail that is sent to subscribers there is just nothing there at all: no image, no link, nothing. It just looks like the poster is an idiot. “See this great video! … [nothing there]”

I’m sorry your email isn’t showing the video.
Can you please forward the entire email to our support email address?
Please make sure my name (jackie dana) is in the subject line, and in the email, also include a link to the post in question and a link to this forums thread.
