Why don't all my changes get changed?
-
This concerns my weinstein365.wordpress.com blog. Today I published a post and then realized that I had to change the headline. I went back in, did it, and clicked on update. Then clicked again to publish. Then I went to my social media and realized that the change had not shown up. I waited 15 minutes. Still nothing. I went back in to edit the post and realized that the url was still the old one. So I manually changed it. Updated. Published. Waited 15 minutes. Checked my social media again. Still nothing. This hasn’t ever happened to me before. The whole idea behind this blog is that I am posting something new every day for 365 days. So all my headlines start with the day, eg. Day 22. Non Event. So strategically it is important that the headline is correct. It worked on Facebook and Linked In eventually, but still isn’t correct on Twitter. Obviously it’s either a small glitch or I’ve done something wrong, but I honestly think I did do whatever I could — or at least what I know I should do. Maybe you can shed some more light. Thanks.

Twitter, unlike Facebook and LinkedIn, does not allow you to edit content after it’s been posted, so there’s little the sharing tool can do to correct this after you’ve made a change.
You can try deleting your tweet and manually re-tweeting the link, if you’d like everything to be updated.
Best,

Thanks for the quick response. I actually tried that and it didn’t work. Not the end of the world. Nice to know I am more technically savvy than I give myself credit for. Have a great day! Your (WordPress) customer support is fabulous, by the way. I always get quick answers and solutions. It is appreciated.
