Why don’t I have to approve comments, now?

    I had a comment to my post—wasn’t spam, technically, tho’ it was promoting a website. Thing is, when I went to look at the comment, I wasn’t asked to “approve” it…it was already there!

    I hadn’t approved it–though I probably would have, after checking out the website, as it seems legitimate–yet, there the comment is.

    So, do we not have to approve all our comments now?

    This has happened to me tons of times, here’s what you do, Go to your settings, Click “Discussion”, and scroll down until you see the thing called “Before a comment appears”.

    It will either say:
    An administrator must always approve the comment, Or It will say

    Comment author must have a previously approved comment

    Select “An administrator must always approve the comment”. That should fix it.

    If the problem still continues, comment back here, and I’ll try and figure it out.
