Why don't my images show on my blog

  When viewing my blog I see a question mark where my images should be. Why is this?

  Howdy,

  I am able to see images on your site. Are you having problems with a particular area or post?

  Give these browser troubleshooting tips a try and let me know if you have any luck:

  Thanks caroline, however no luck with the tips and I had tried this prior posting this thread. The issue is with the following posts:
  Weekly photo Challenge: “Curves”
  “Two Towering card boxes”
  Weekly Photo Challenge: “Lost in Details”
  The reason why you see images is because some images do show but not all the ones I imported to my blogs.
  On Safari the question mark shows up.
  On Firefox nothing shows up at all.
  On some occasions in Safari I need to reload the page 12 times to get the images to show but even then not all will show.
  It really defeats the purpose having a blog if the images do not show.
  I do not have issues with other blogs (not WordPress).
  Please advise

  By the way all my images I insert from a URL.

  Hi there!

  If you’re inserting an image from a URL, make sure the URL is correct and pointing to the image file.

  In looking at one of the example posts you noted:
  http://skookella.wordpress.com/2013/06/16/weekly-photo-challenge-curves/

  The image file is pointing here:
  http://skookella.smugmug.com/Architecture/Architecture-Around-the-World/i-WL8fhMJ/0/L/1102_Singapore%202011_003-Edit-2-L.jpg

  But that’s a broken link, which makes a broken or missing image on your blog.

  Unfortunately that’s not something we control, since the photos are hosted at Smugmug, not with WordPress.com. It’s possible Smugmug doesn’t allow for spaces in filenames (the %20 part of that URL is actually a space), or you need to ensure you’re allowed to link to Smugmug photos from your blog, or something else.

  If you continue to experience the inability to post images to your blog from Smugmug, I would contact Smugmug support.

  Unfortunately I don’t know, since I don’t have access to your Smugmug account. Smugmug support might be able to tell you more about why certain images are broken and others are not.

  Hi Caroline,
  I seem to have found the cause. It had to do with my gallery settings in Smugmug. All my images now show.
  There is an option in Smugmug to copy embeddable links from your photo to a blog but am not sure where to paste the link in WordPress. It will not work from the URL option. Would you have any idea?

  Yay, glad you were able to resolve the broken images!

  And I believe you’d paste the blog link code into your Text Editor when creating a new Post:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/#text-editor
