why don't my links work?

  links in my postings do not work. any advice appreciated.

  When a theme displays excerpts on the main page or on category/archive pages, the auto excerpts are plain text only: all coding is removed, so no links, no images etc. To make your links work on the main page, you need to create a custom excerpt: switch the post editor to HTML, copy content, paste into the Excerpt module, update. If you’re not seeing the Excerpt module while on the post editor screen, click Screen Options (top right) to enable it.
