Why don't my new blog contributor's draft posts show up? Why don't controls work

    New Contributor can’t post.
    She writes the post, saves as draft and previews but sees nothing.
    I don’t see her save draft in the Posts dashboard.

    Hi there,

    I have just created one draft post and one pending post as your contributor. You should see those in your dashboard for your site. This functionality appears to be working currently.

    Also, I can see that the contributor was able to successfully trash and delete a few posts four days ago on June 3rd.

    Please have them try again. If you experience the same problem, please let me know.

    Yes, I see your drafts. However, my contributor says that she cannot
    actually see her draft post in preview and therefore will not publish it without viewing. Also, I am unable to see her drafts in the dashboard view of all posts.
    Was there content in those trashed posts?
    Could you please look for the problem? I am not reporting this for fun.
    You seem to be looking for a way to prove that I am incorrect.
    Why would she not be able to preview her draft? Why am I not able to see her draft posts? Why, what possible incompatabilities should we be examining?
    I never saw my contributors draft posts. You are able to create drafts but my contributor is not able to create a readable or viewable draft. She deleted because she could not preview.

    Why would she not be able to preview her draft?

    So I can’t see a reason why she would not be able to preview her saved drafts.
    As a test, I made sure that I could accomplish this within her account.

    Could you have her log in and try to access the link below to a draft created under her account?

    If she isn’t able to see the content of that draft post, please let me know.

    If you are referring to the Recent Drafts area of the dashboard, it will only display drafts of posts that you have authored. Your contributor will be able to see their drafts on their dashboard. This includes the draft linked above.

    Additionally, you can see all drafts created on the site, regardless of author, here:

    Was there content in those trashed posts?

    Since the posts were deleted permanently, there isn’t a way to retrieve them to verify whether they had content.

    Let me know if this helps, and whether your contributor is able to see the preview of the draft.

    If she can see it, have her try to create a test draft of her own and save it. After she saves it, ask her to try to preview the post and let me know what happens.
