why don't my paragraph indents hold when pasting in?

    When I paste in a post from Word, WP will not allow me to have indented paragraphs. It closes the indents and often adds lines in between paragraphs instead. If I insert the indents once pasted in, it eliminates them again. VERY frustrating!!

    HI!

    Pasting from Microsoft Word can often times create some pretty messy formatting. This is because some additional HTML (fancy acronym meaning the formatting of your text) gets carried over that might cause your post not to look right.

    I would highly recommend writing your posts directly into WorPress.com or pasting your text using the Paste as Plain text option mentioned here:

    This option will remove all formatting, including indents. You will need to manually add them back in using the indentation button mentioned here:
