why don't stats match?

For the last two days the Jetpack stats at the top of the page with the barcode don’t match the detailed listing below. Why? Which is the correct number?

I don’t think it’s worth posting, linking etc to the screen shot because the info is very easy to describe. Right now, my “top posts and pages” says I have 82 hits and all the hits are itemized by post and by page. But above that, there’s the bar chart and it says I have 98 hits today. I’m assuming the 82 is correct, but where did the other hits come from on the bar chart?

Oh, that’s normal. There are parts of your blog which aren’t considered posts or pages, like date and category archive listings, and search results from the search field in your blog’s sidebar.
Top Posts and Pages only covers the content posts and pages in your blog, so it’s normal to have less total views in Posts and Pages than the rest of your blog.
