Why don't the italics bits of text show up?

  Why can I not see italics? I use italics fairly often, and they have gone since yesterday.
  (1) The tribulations of change: the Italian phrase at the end should be in italics
  (2) Those poor people: the name of the film “Galaxy Quest” should be in italics
  and there are more.
  The really weird things is that the italics were showing, yesterday …

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  OK, the 13-hour delay doesn’t matter any more: the italics have returned. Totally mysteriously.
  I give up: I have no comprehension of what went down.

  Only if it happens again.
  I’m hoping that if someone solves for me the HIDEOUS problem re image sizes in my sidebar, this one will prove to’ve been linked.
  Why?
