Why download wp theme?

  Why should I download a theme, since I can work on it while being logged in my wp profile? Am I missing something here?

  Hi there,

  On WordPress.com there is no need to download themes, as everything you need is contained within your account here. If you have a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, then you would have to download the theme you want in order to install it onto your blog.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.
