Why has admin interface stopped working in firefox?
-
Today, posts stopped showing in editor in firefox. Also, other buttons (I still didn’t find the right answer) stopped responding to clicks. Everything seems fine in IE.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy Bruce,
That’s an odd problem! We haven’t seen this reported by others at this time and it is working for me in Firefox, so let’s focus on your end and go from there.
In Firefox, can you try a force reload and/or clearing your browser’s cache? (Instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/ ).
If that doesn’t work, can you visit the following sites and tell me if anything of them aren’t loading correctly in Firefox, they should show a very basic blank blog:
http://s0.wp.com
http://s1.wp.com
http://s2.wp.com
http://luv.wordpress.com/
http://iad.wordpress.com/
http://sat.wordpress.com/The hypothesis right now is 1) on a visit, your browser pulled a corrupted file of code that is breaking things that clearing the cache would clear or 2) less likely, your browser can’t connect to one of our datacenters. Since IE is working, #1 is the likely issue given what we know.
Thanks for your patience and for using WordPress.com!

All of the links open barebones blogs. I have cleared my firefox cache multiple times while working on this with no changes. Also deleted cookie for WordPress, no change.
Before the problem with the editor emerged I found I was unable to post comments to WordPress blog: realitybloger.wordpress.com in firefox.
Today, while trying to edit in IE (ghastly experience), the plain text insert window opened entirely blank, no text box. So, (re)installed Chrome and that worked.

I also restored Windows 7 to state before problem happened. Was able to comment to blog above from IE.

Thanks for the additional information and glad IE/Chrome still work at least.
Do you have any Add-Ons installed in Firefox? Can you try to use WordPress.com with those deactivated? I can’t duplicate a problem using a Mac or Windows 8 using Firefox. I’ll try Windows 7 next.
Please let me know if the add-ons help resolve the situation and I’ll let you know if I’m able to duplicate on Windows 7/Firefox.
Thanks for your patience.

Well, it seems to be fixed now. I disabled all plugins and addons and the editing window opened fine. After re-enabling addons and activating plugins in stages, it seems that the problem may have been an addon named Karma Blocker. I added it a few weeks ago, but the problem didn’t surface for a while. Just trying to stop the flash adds that run on their own on some pages. ):-| Thanks for your help
BTW, don’t know if this is how they’re supposed to be, but all the blog links you included still open as basic beginner blogs.

That’s great to hear. I’ll investigate Karma Blocker as well; thanks for letting me know what may have been the cause.
It’s possible that Karma Blocker may have updated their criteria and WordPress.com got caught in a change.
With the basic blogs, that’s good. If they don’t load at all for you, then it is a whole other set of problems! :-)
Cheers!
