Why has my blog display has gone wrong all at once?

Sidebar contents have disappeared, posts run off into background at the bottom. Checked with a friend using a different browser (mine is Chrome, hers is Firefox) and she sees the same issues. Everything looks alright in the Dashboard, haven’t changed any settings or fooled with anything for a while. Also, a different blog of mine looks perfectly fine. No idea where to even begin with this, help would be most appreciated.

The problem is now resolved. A bit of formatting trouble in a post (it’s a multi-author blog I admin). If anyone else ever runs into this, look for these <div> </div> . Not sure how they can take down an entire blog with one post, but there you are!

Glad you sorted this out! As you found out, a stray div tag can definitely cause havoc on a site layout, thanks for letting us know the culprit. :-)

I figured that someone may one day profit by my experience. I’m learning every bit of this as I go (the fact that I know even the most basic HTML is still kind of baffling to me, but there you are), and sharing my difficulties and discoveries is the best way I know to take my frustration and turn it into something positive.
