Why has my old avatar started showing up again?

Just when I thought it was dead and gone, an old black-and-white photo is starting to show up again as my avatar. Just like that. Anyone else who’s changed their avatar over the past year notice this happening as well? It took six months for it to finally go away, hasn’t popped up for about 5-6 months until this morning.

Just won’t seem to accept my new avatar at all. Well, has, on one or two occasions, but that’s all. Changed it several weeks ago.

WP accepted my new one, but seems to have defaulted to the old. I wish I knew the answer.

I am new to wordpress, so was playing around trying to find and crop an avatar. The first one didn’t fit
right, it showed a gray E.. so I changed it to a blue butterfly. The butterfly shows up on other WordPress blogs, but the gray E will show up on a some NON wordpress blogs. I never know which one will show up. VERY WEIRD!! -
Mine did the same thing – I changed it over in November and now the old one is showing up. If the old one is deleted when the new one is added, how does this even make sense?

Me too, My recent picture was gone..and now it’s all blurred and can’t be recognized…What’s going on here?

Mine just did it too. Usually with things like this, I’ll wait ’til tomorrow to see if it fixes itself. But I’d appreciate any input.

I can see my avatar now here at the forum, but once I return to my page, it’s still blurred…uncanny, isn’t it?

My old one showed up and it won’t even let me get into the edit gravatar page! Besides I had to try to post here and see what happens since magic is happening for other people.
