Why has my sidebar moved to the bottom of the page?
-
My sidebar has mysteriously morphed to the bottom of the page. I’m completely ignorant of programming for the web and need someone to fix the problem. Or something I can do myself without causing my brain to explode!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When I look at my blog on my computer it is in two columns a sidebar and body to post messages and photos. When I look at my blog on another computer the sidebar is gone. I want to know how that happens as well. I’m new at this. I would like to keep up with this issue.

@hlyth2013: See this post of mine, esp. section A or B:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/@heidingerhappenings: The blog linked to your username is deleted.

hlyth2013, thanks for the message. I don’t know why heidingerhappenings blog is deleted. I am going to read what you are referring to about the missing side bar.

@justpi, I had the same sidebar issue as @hlyth2013, and with the help of your informative post my issue has been resolved. Thanks so much!

Wait for me……I still need help. Ha ha…how did you fix it? Also can you click on my heidingerhappenings and see if you see my blog? It was not linked to the name earlier. Thanks
-
@violetpaws: You’re welcome!
@heidingerhappenings: Did I make a mistake before or did you update your username link? Anyway, if you’re talking about http://theheidingerhappenings.wordpress.com/, don’t bother reading my post: your sidebar is fine. The theme you’re using has a “responsive” layout: it stretches and shrinks to adapt to different screen resolutions and devices, and on low resolution screens and narrow devices the sidebar turns into a footer area.

violetpaws: Thank you….Now let me see if I have this right as I am very technically challenged. When you click on my avatar heidingerhappenings it comes up and looks like it has all my widgets on the sidebar? I’m not sure what you mean about low resolution screens and narrow devices. You think most people sitting at their computers see the side bar and people with IPADs and Iphones see it as the sidebar as the footer. My friends who I modeled mine after when I check her’s on the IPAD she still has the 2 colums but when I check mine on the IPAD it has the sidebar at the bottom. I hope that makes sense.

Many thanks. Without much stress I now seem to have the sidebar at the top of the page again! I’ll keep this link for if it happens again.
