Why has my uploaded photograph 'disappeared'?

An uploaded image in my last post has suddenly become unavailable. In place of the photograph, is an box with an x. How do I restore the image and why did this happen?

I looked into the image and the link you used is this:
Please note that this link is not directing to an image, which is why you see that box.
I looked at your Media > Library page and I did see that you uploaded a Microsoft Word document with an image in it titled: Operakallaren. Please note that Word documents with images in them do not get automatically embedded into your posts. Instead, it becomes a link that you can download. So, I wouldn’t recommend using that.
If you get permission from the site you are trying to use the image from, ask them for the direct link to the image, and you can put that in your post as the image you first used is not directing to an actual image.

Thanks so much – I did get permission from the restaurant to post the photograph so I will go back to them for a direct link.
What puzzled me what that the photograph had been visible for months! Only recently was it un-‘viewable’. Mary -

It looks like the image is no longer on their site. I’m not 100% sure, but that may very well be the cause.

Thank you, Grace. I went back to some old e-mails with the restaurant and found more photos. I uploaded one and it looks pretty good.
