Why has the dasboard link and list of posts to edit been deleted?

Hello “happiness engineer” I am writing because the recent change to the wordpress dashboard does not make me happy, it actually is annoying. Why is the dashboard link (on the top bar) and edit links gone? Even if I click My Blog when I got to the Posts section all my posts are NOT listed there (this must be a mistake on your end no?), which leads to me now having to click the edit button on my main wordpress page in order to edit my posts, and having to scroll down for each one is obviously not as good as as it was before when I could choose edit from the dashboard list of posts. Can you change this back please? It’s definitely worse than it was. Thanks.

  • Hi Colin,
There are a few ways to get to the same content, which is displayed differently depending on where you’re reviewing it. If you go to your avatar in the top left of the screen (in the grey bar) and hover, you will see a menu appear. You can then hover over the name of your blog at the bottom, and then click on “dashboard” to see the traditional dashboard that you are used to.
    Good luck!

Thanks, but that doesn’t work with my page, when I hover over the avatar (which is on the top right for me) I get a menu yes, but hovering over my blog name doesnt bring up any other menu that offers the dashboard. So apparently this version of wordpress I access has bugs that others don’t?
