Why has WordPress become so unreliable?

  The WordPress server is failing to send data to me. I can get my stats page but apart from that, everything is a lottery, including other people’s WordPress sites/articles. Sometimes they come through; most times they don’t. WordPress has become, in a word, unreliable.
