Why hasn't my published article been sent to my blog followers?
-
Hi, I published a new blog post today but I’m having trouble with my publicize features. Most importantly, no email notification was sent to any of my followers about the new post. Why would this happen, how can I fix it for future posts and how can I push the email notification to my followers now that the post is already published?
Also, my posts are no longer automatically publishing to FB through publicize. Would disconnecting my profile and reconnecting it help?
Thanks very much, I’d like to get the email notification problem resolved quickly. I appreciate your assistance!

Hi there,
If Publicize has become disconnected from your social media, then you will need to reconnect it by following the steps which we’ve created for you right here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook
Unfortunately once you’ve published your article, there’s no way to resend any messages. You can manually publish it to Facebook however. You can do this one of two ways: You can use the “Share to Facebook” button which you can activate by going to Dashboard >> Settings >> Sharing >> Activate the Facebook button. You then just go to the article in question and click the Facebook button and share it to your timeline.
Alternatively, you can grab the article’s shortcode URL by editing the article and grabbing it from just above the editing window and then logging in to your Facebook account and making a post about it manually.

Hi, yes I’ll reconnect my FB.
My main question however was about my followers. My last post did not push an email notification to my followers. Do you have suggestions on how to remedy this? It’s an integral way I communicate with my readers.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no way for an already-published post to have notifications re-sent to a blog’s subscribers. The only thing that I can suggest is that you make a copy of that post, delete the original one, and then repost the new one so that it is transmitted to all of your followers.

Ok thank you. Can you think of a reason why this would happen? If the email didnt send the first time, it seems like it won’t work the next time either.

This doesn’t happen frequently, so I’m not sure why it wouldn’t have sent the first time. However it may be that when you posted we were in the middle of one of our updates and so the message did not get through to our mail servers, or something along those lines.
