Why have a blog if no one can find it?
-
Why did you name my blog with the name of my email instead of what I wanted to name it? No one can find it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
I do not know what you are referring to.
Which blog are you on about please?
http://dashboardbooks.wordpress.com/
This one cannot be registered as it has punctuation in it.

Are you clear on the differences between URLs ie. blog addresses starting with http:// and site tiles ie. blog names like “Someplace Else”.
The Site title and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General
“save changes”However, if you want to change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http:// then you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
Proceed with caution reading carefully each and every step before taking it.

I’m not sure whose name would be the “exact same username” that actually got it registered. My sister and I worked 5 days on every computer in her house and 2 computers
of mine I had brought trying to get it to work and finally her daughter at her job finished it. How can I find out? -
Hi again,
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hiddenIf you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
and if required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. -
You must be British so I’m sure you understand how confusing it is when terms mean completely different things to different groups of people. The techie-speak terms are Greek to me, which made the tutorials not helpful. “Dashboard,” for example, means only a part of a vehicle to me, but I realize it means what I would have called a “desktop.” How would I know if I had any “hidden” blogs? What is a “hidden” blog?

Hi there,
I’m Canadian.
This is your dashboard ie. the Admin section of your blog for this blog http://dashboardbooks.wordpress.com//wp-admin/ -

The My Blogs section of your Dashboard lists the WordPress.com blogs that you can contribute to and/or edit. Read more here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/

I am only trying to do the simplest little blog and it seems a shame that to do so must involve all this convoluted, esoteric, non-essential drama. Why don’t you offer simple little blogs for beginners?
