Why have blog images stopped showing on my laptop?

  When using my laptop (Win7), blog images that previously displayed normally no longer appear. It is not confined to my own blog: other WordPress blogs no longer display their images on this machine.

  This problem has not arisen on my desktop PC (XP).

  Images in other websites are showing normally.
