Why have I been marked as mature?
-
When I go to the admin part of my blog, I see a message from WordPress saying “Thank you for reporting this blog as mature”. There is nothing “mature” about my blog at all – it talks about travelling to Canada, leaving tips and eating poutine in Toronto! Please could you tell me why this message has appeared. The blog is canadianwry
Many thanks

I haven’t received a link or any notification. I was trying to see my stats when I got another page and underneath a summary of each of my blog posts came that message. I haven’t received anything from WordPress.

I have never heard of such a notice and I already tagged this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Maybe all the references to alcohol. In North America, the age is higher than in Britain. Here, we can’t drink until we’re 19. That’s my guess.

There are limitations to the mature content permitted on our service.
Please don’t:
Post explicit sexual materials that can be considered pornographic, such as explicit images or video of sexual acts or close-up images of genitalia;
Post links or banner ads to adult-oriented affiliate networks, such as pornography site signups;
Post links, text, or images promoting or advertising escort services;
Post images of extreme violence or gore without associated context or commentary;
Post images of child pornography;
Post content that promotes pedophilia, such as blogs with galleries of images of children where the images, content surrounding the images, or the intent of the blog is sexually suggestive. http://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/ -
Nah, it won’t be that. Mature is generally for things like nude photography blogs. I got reported as Mature once, but all it took was talking to staff to get it sorted out.

Hello!
I’ve mailed many times, now I changed my password… maybe there’s a hacking problem…I have the same problem, my 7 blogs don’t show on read topics, not even under topics I’ve created myself.
I’ve done everything, updated what I can update and so on. Checked on a friends computer – it´s the same…
Today I published on:
http://www.irenewalton2.wordpress.com
I DO HOPE that I can get help… !!!

Well, not if you look here http://forums.wordpress.com/ Yours is a completely different topic, so follow the instructions in related threads.
-
Thanks!
I know, but I thought that I didn’t see any that fitted my problem…
I will look again…The problem is that I’ve been mailing support many times, without any reaction. They have always reacted before.

This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer most questions and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention.
When we create a support ticket by contacting Support Staff by using the contact link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ or by emailing or by flagging a thread here in the forums for their assistance it’s important to understand they have a backlog.
They deal with the support tickets, emails and threads on these peer support forums with the earliest dates first. So if we contact them more than once on the same issue or bump threads or create duplicate threads the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.

@torontohibs
This thread is flagged for Staff attention. What’s required is your patience please. Thread bumping is not helpful. -
