Why have my featured images stopped appearing in posts?

  Using Photographer Theme. After adding a page header image, all the featured images in my posts stopped showing up. Rob is not happy.

  Hi Rob,

  I just tested this out and when I added a header image it didn’t change how my featured images appeared on my posts. Can you please try adding a header image again so I can take a look at how it’s acting on your site? (I’m looking at your site https://robingramart.wordpress.com/ but please let me know if you mean a different site.)

  Here is the problem.
  When I first did posts with a featured image, the image showed up as a thumbnail. When I clicked on the thumbnail, it took me to the full text of the post which ALSO included a thumbnail that could be clicked for an enlarged (900 px) view.
  It was probably coincidental that, after I put in a header image, the enlargements in the post became unavailable.
  If I manually put an image in the body of the post, then it can be clicked for an enlargement.
  Just seems odd that the automatic inclusion of the featured image in the body of the post suddenly disappeared.

  Hi Rob,

  Thanks! That clarifies the issue you’re running into. There’s a setting in the Photographer theme that controls whether or not the featured image appears in the single post view like that. You can change that setting under Appearance > Theme Options in your site’s WP Admin dashboard.

  Under Page Options, next to “Single Post Featured Image,” you can check the box for “Displays the featured image on single posts.” Be sure to click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page, and that will make it so those featured images appear when you click through to the post.

  If that doesn’t work the way you expect it to, please let me know!

  Yeah! Thank you. It’s looking dandy now. I just have to go back and pull all the inserted media out.
