Why have post and page revisions disappeared throughout my WordPress site?

  As of July 25, post and page revisions are missing throughout my site. Also, no new revisions are being created either automatically or when I save an edit of a draft or a published post or page. I have over 900 posts and pages (drafts and published) on the site, In the nearly four years that I’ve been using WordPress, I don’t recall the revisions ever disappearing before, or fail to be created as they normally are.

  I did the duplicate because of the mistake in the original. I’d written “post and revisions” instead of “post and page revisions” in the subject area. Trying to clarify the question on the second one.
