Why have we lost the ability to make new posts of images/videos?

Why has the format for posting changed? I loved the previous format, it was so user friendly and easy to post images or videos and add text. Now I am only given the text option and/or beep/beep/boop which is not helpful.Please help!

If you’re having trouble with the New Post button in the Reader, you can use the post editor in the main dashboard. Go to your blog’s main dashboard (http://rosearomas.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) and create a new post by clicking on Posts ->Add New in the sidebar menu. You’ll find creating posts this way is much more stable and provides many more options for making it look exactly like you want. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/new-post-screen/ Existing posts you can edit by going to Posts ->All Posts and clicking the Edit link under the post title.

Additionally, try clearing your browser cache and cookies and make sure you have third-party cookies enabled. You can also check whether you have the same problem on a different browser and make sure your flash player is updated and see if that helps.

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/Something you need to realise about WordPress.com is that the software is on continuous roll-out and new features are constantly being introduced while old ones fall away. With every change there’s a bunch of people who get upset, but bloggers who’ve been here since the start of WordPress say they’ve seldom seen any change getting reverted, so it’s best to learn to adapt and find a new way of doing what you want to do.

Thank you for all that, great info. am not against change but just found the new way more complex but am about to dive in.
