Why haven't I received an email confirmation link?

  I attempted to register my WordPress account using my private @gmail.com email account. I never received an email with a confirmation link. I then registered with my work email account and received a link. When I went into my WordPress settings to change the associated email to my private @gmail.com account, I still did not receive a confirmation link email, despite repeated attempts. I have checked all of my email inbox folders, including spam.
