Why improved posting experience?

I am completely happy with the way things are right now. Please keep the older versions ON as one gets used to the interface and if you change it by claiming that it is better.. well NOT for some of us!

Hi there!
I’m happy to pass along any specific feedback you have. In the meantime, the wp-admin interface is still available and there are no current plans to remove it.

Thanks!
It would be super :-) nice if you asked us before you did some interface changes.. -
We actually make changes to WordPress.com constantly every day. Many of these changes aren’t as drastic as the ones you’ve been seeing recently. But the sheer number of times we make changes makes it impossible to notify everyone of every change we make.
That said, we Happiness Engineers pass along every piece of constructive feedback that comes up. We want to iterate on our changes and make WordPress.com better for everyone.

I would really like an option to completely get rid of the “improved posting experience”. At the very least, when I accidentally find myself experiencing that experience e.g. because I unwarily press the “edit” button on an existing post, I’d like an obvious link to get back the traditional wordpress interface. I’m sorry, but I hate everything about the new interface. It’s easy to switch to the new interface. Please make it equally easy to switch away from it.

stjohnscic, please see tpenguinltg’s comment with directions on how to add a user script so you always use the classic editor for new posts and editing older posts.
