Why is a blank permalink showing up on my home page and not the image?!
-
I’m very new at this so there might be an easy solution, but I am getting frustrated. I’m wondering why, when I post a picture, only a blank ‘permalink’ shows up on my homepage and not the image. I’m using the AutoFocus Theme. This problem occurs when I upload a picture straight from my computer and when I’m using a photo from my media library. My blog is http://www.miahrebecca.wordpress.com

Hi. I have the same problem. Please do let me know if you find a solution to this problem. Thanks

You can find more information in support under Featured Images but to quickly fix this, open up the editor for the post that has a blank permalink scroll to the bottom right and where it says Featured Image upload your picture you want displayed. Good luck!

Please see here for the description of how the themes is designed http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/autofocus/
Scroll down to “Impressive, Large Featured Images”
The maximum width of single post featured images is 800. -

I like your nature scape photos. If you are open to advice I suggest you may want to edit your About page.

Thank you very much for liking the photos. I also appreciate your feedback. I am an amateur photographer and its only a hobby. However, I feel they are nice and am too excited to share them. But as you rightly pointed out, I need to get started on my ABOUT ME page which is equally an important aspect in any website. I shall get started and thank you once again.
