Why is a connection with StumbleUpon no longer available?

  Why has the StumbleUpon share button under Publicize no longer available?

  It was the third most popular method of bringing people to my blog…

  Hi there,

  The StumbleUpon sharing button was recently removed. The button used exclusively http which causes mixed-content warnings and sometimes fails completely on https sites. Since the majority of WordPress.com has moved to https and StumbleUpon has stated publicly that they don’t intend to update their buttons, we’ve removed them.

  If you’d like to keep using a StumbleUpon sharing button on your site, you can add it back as a custom sharing button following the steps for Adding Your Own Service. We have more about how to set that up in this forum thread:
