Why is a deleted site still showing in Google?
-
Hi. Last month I deleted the site https://sandwelllibdems.wordpress.com/ as it became obsolete and has been replaced. However, the site appears to still be active despite having been deleted. How can it be removed once and for all, please?
Thanks.

If you want to permanently delete your site, please follow this guide:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/Please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as a site can’t be reverted for any reason.
If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:

@wynternet Just a heads-up. I see you are a new volunteer in the forums. It is good policy to click on “member” to see if the original poster had already posted a similar question or been replied to ie here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/deleted-site-still-active-why?replies=11#post-2967413
It helps to check the tags on the right too as I had already marked this post with “Duplicate”. If no one else had posted here then mods could have simply removed this duplicate post.
PS: This is useful if you haven’t already seen it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-com-volunteers/
