Why is BlackBerry Blocking WordPress Website?
-
For some reason, since this morning (24 APR 2016), my website (www.Lumpenproletariat.org) is no longer visible on BlackBerry devices. A symbol appears, in the web browser, of a red circle with a black exclamation point in the center. And the following message reads:
“Site Identity Not Verifiable. This site may not be trustworthy. Personal information entered on this site may not be protected.”
When I click “Expand to Continue”, the following message appears:
“Site identity is not verifiable for the following reasons: The certificate to identify lumpenproletariat.org has not been verified by a trusted source.”
The question becomes: Why has the certificate “not been verified by a trusted source”? And who, or what, constitutes a “trusted source”?
Now, I have actually ‘added an exception’, so that I may proceed to view my website on a BlackBerry device. But why should this be necessary? Now, the web browser, where it shows the URL, shows that heinous red exclamation point symbol, which can only discourage readers from viewing my website.
Why is my website being treated as “Untrustworthy”?
Please advise.

Hi folks, we recently added SSL to every custom domain on WordPress.com. Here’s how and why we did this:
https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2016/04/08/https-everywhere-encryption-for-all-wordpress-com-sites/Unfortunately, the Blackberry stock browser doesn’t support this newer SSL technology ye. I’m sure they will in a future update, but you might encourage them to fix that sooner than later, as over 2 million sites are using these certificates now.
