why is 'blog' not appearing as one of my tabs/links across the top of the page?

  I created a static page for my home page and another page for blog posts, but the blog page does not appear as one of my tabs. When i wrote my frist blog post it appeared on the contact us page.
  I have now moved the contact us page to trash as there is obviously some glitch there, but the contact us tab/link still appears across the top of the page. When you click on it, it now says that page cannot be found.
  Can someone help?

  Hello there! It appears as if you still have the Contact Us tab installed on your custom menu. You can remove it, and add your blog page, by making edits to this menu:
  https://creativecontentandcopywriting.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
