Why is code appearing on top of every new post I publish and how do I stop it?
-
This code appears at the top of a post every time I publish a new one.
“Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:”Table Normal”; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes;…”
This is screwing up my publicising of the post since I have to go back, edit and delete the code. What’s going on and how do I stop it?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You probably copypaste the content from Word or other similar application. Never copypaste into the Visual editor: when you need to paste, switch the editor to “Text” first.

Oh brilliant. Thanks for the help, man.
However, this doesn’t happen on my other blog where I do essentially the same thing. Why do you think that is?
-
You’re welcome.
When you copypaste from Word or similar applications into the Visual editor, you introduce extra/wrong code. I’ve seen all sorts of junk in the sourcecode of posts created this way (resulting in changed styling, or messed-up formatting, or even visible code), but I haven’t been able to pinpoint exactly what happens when. -
