Why is deleted blog still existent and active?

  Deleted the blog https://song60s.wordpress.com tonight. Confirmed the intention to delete it at the email sent by the action. Went back to the site and found that it still existed and visited the admin page:

  https://song60s.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  However, WordPress claims the site has been deleted by the author and is no longer available, here: https://song1960s.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=delete-blog&h=TkiLZykXeMAVMr0ZIcXe

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You have a spelling error someplace

  https://song60s.wordpress.com/ – not deleted
  https://song1960s.wordpress.com/ – deleted
