Why is deleted content still available online?
-
Why is deleted content still available online? I have deleted my entire blog – burned it with fire. Yet, I can still access items at <<blogname>>.files.wordpress.com/…
If I type unique portions of the URL that linked to this content BEFORE I deleted the entire blog (media libraries, posts, links, EVERYTHING – THEN I deleted the blog itself) into Google, I STILL get a result that takes me to the content. Why is this? Why isn’t it gone? How do I get rid of this content? Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting a blog or deleting content from a blog does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. We have no control over this and all search engine issues are between the blogger and the search engine.

If you are asking about http://staarinstitute2013.wordpress.com/ – it is alive and well – not deleted at all –
Did you get a delete email and have to click several times that delete was gone forever?
You might have hidden it from yourself or deleted yourself from it or a few other things –
I can’t remember where the hiding spots are – but with a bit of luck @TT will give you a list of all the secret hiding spots

You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it and then delete it.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery.Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ You may want to make the blog private instead. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

@auxclass – No. I am not talking about the staar institute site. It was the only blog we left. We had several others, but I have cleaned their media libraries, deleted all posts, then deleted the blogs themselves. I still get content using the URL – not going through a search engine – that is a file that was conected to a now non-existent blog.
@timethief – I know that the search engines index stuff, and I can see why a link might show up in search results. But when I type in the URL without using a search engine, I still get the content. Is that because, somehow, my browser is accessing it through one of these indexed caches?

Then we need the URL of the blogs / pages that are still around – or at least some samples so someone can look at the content or lack of content
Could be a cache issue also

Okay, well, I kind of figured that that would help, but to be honest, the last thing in the world that I need right now is for this link to be disseminated any more than it already has been. Is there an email address where I could get this to you? Could you email me direct at (email visible only to moderators and staff) and I can send it to you? I desperately need help with this, but like I said, I don’t need to be posting this troublesome URL on an open forum.
