The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The drag and drop within the gallery appears to be working correctly on my side in Chrome 38.0. Here’s a screencast of what I’m experiencing:
Can you try to update your Chrome browser by clicking Chrome -> About Google Chrome?

Hi, Your answer highlighted a problem I didn’t know I had: that the google
chrome updater was disabled by administrator on my laptop. I have fixed this and updated and restarted my laptop so thanks for that , but drag and drop still not working. Mostly nothing moves when I’m trying but sometimes the screen turns blue and message says drop files to upload. -
Could you point me to the post (or just let me know the title of the post) where you’re trying to update the gallery?
Also, when you’re editing the gallery, can you confirm you’re in “Edit Gallery” not “Add to Gallery” as shown here?
-
i have tried to edit a few galleries on the blog. World trip page is one.
The problem is specific to my laptop as it’s working fine on my sons mac pc. -
Can you try another browser on your laptop? That will help us to determine if this is computer or browser related.

Yes, It’s google chrome that’s causing the issue. it’s fine in internet explorer. So at least I can edit when I want to by switching. I have to learn how to save bookmarks before I uninstall. I tried system restore but chrome died and would not reinstall so I undid it. This is an oldish laptop and slowing down.

Thanks for clarifying! At least we’ve narrowed down that it’s a browser issue. Can you try the following?
- Disabling all browser extensions under Chrome -> Preferences -> Extensions? Here’s a screenshot of the page and how to disable:
- Navigate to Chrome -> Preferences and click “Show advanced settings” as shown here:
Then, click “Content Settings” and make sure Javascript is turned on as shown here:

Hi , Sorry for the delay in trying your suggestion. Today was my first chance to get to it. I did that but nothing has changed.
-
@vdpinfantsblog – Thanks for giving those a try! At this point, I think the best suggestion is resetting your Chrome settings as described here:
https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en
That will reset Chrome back to it’s original settings. Since this appears to be a Chrome-specific issue, I’m hoping that solves the problem. However, please read carefully through the items that this resets (namely pinned tabs, extensions, etc). Bookmarks and favorited sites will still remain.
Can you give that a try?

I tried that but no difference. Drag and drop still not working.
My gmail is also unavailable some of the time.. -
Hi!
Sorry you’re still having trouble! Just to recap, we have the following:
1. You’re using Chrome 39 (seen under Chrome -> About Chrome)
2. All browser extensions have been disabled
3. Chrome has been reset to default settings
Is that correct? Can you elaborate on what you mean by “My gmail is also unavailable some of the time…?”
