Why is FSE Showing Up When I Try To Edit A Page

Hi all!
Tonight I’m noticing something weird happening.
When I try to open up the editor for my pages, it is showing the page as if I’m looking at FSE. In other words it is showing me the full layout of my website, but allowing me to edit the portion of the page that contains the page content.
Why is it doing this? Has there some change? It’s confusing, and needs to go back to just showing the editor if somebody thought this was smart. It’s not smart.

We are aware of the recent change in behavior and are working on it.
In the meantime, you can switch the view of your pages to only the page content (not the full template view) by turning off the “Show Template” option under Page Settings > Templates as shown in the following screenshot:

Hi Phil, thanks for that tip. It is much appreciated. That seemed to fix the issue, but seems like a temporary fix. I hope it will be returned to normal so as not to do that again in the near future.
