Why is gravatar showing instead of featured image on facebook?
-
This started with the last couple of comics. When I share it to FB sovonna’s gravatar shows up as the thumbnail image instead of the comic itself. Again, this is only happening with the last 2 comics posted and I’m not sure what changed. I need visitors to be able to show the comic when posting to facebook.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
It seems as if you’re referring to your Jetpack, self-hosted site, is that correct?
If so, here is a really helpful document that will walk you through troubleshooting your posts’ publication to Facebook:
http://jetpack.me/support/publicize/troubleshooting-publicize/Because your site is self-hosted, and not housed here at WordPress.com, I don’t have access to any of your files. However, I am hoping the document I linked will shed light on the issue.
Pay specific attention to the section called, “Facebook is showing the wrong image.” You’ll also want to click on the link in that paragraph to learn more about Facebook’s debug tool.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Actually the site is being hosted by wordpress.com that’s the part that’s confusing me. When I use the facebook debug tool it brings back this as the image link:
<meta property=”og:image” content=”http://0.gravatar.com/blavatar/4c9c687c4acf938184494e8671165975?s=200″ />
That is not what it’s supposed to be. Especially when the source page from my site has the same tag as this:
<meta property=”og:image” content=”http://randomencounterzdotcom.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/driving-a-dinosaur.jpg?w=600″ />
I’m being hosted by wordpress.com so I’m confused as to why this is happening.

Hello there!
I see, I was looking at your Jetpack site. Are you no longer using that site? If so, I recommend removing that Jetpack connection. I can do that for you, if you’d like.
When I share to Facebook, I do see the correct image appear:
https://cloudup.com/cc-6LYAjKNEHave you posted since debugging your site? If not, I’d like you to drop me a line when you do so again, to confirm whether or not it worked. When you ran the debug, you cleared Facebook’s cache of your page, which can be quite helpful in situations such as this.
Also, for good measure, please clear your browser’s cache to assure that it doesn’t have anything unwanted saved for your post.
Are you using Publicize to post to Facebook? If so, please disconnect your Facebook Publicize connection, then reconnect. If not, please connect Facebook to your WordPress.com site, as long as you’re comfortable doing so:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-services
Finally, once you do post again, please send me a screenshot of your most recent post, as well as a screenshot of how it appears on Facebook. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when there’s something I should look at.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Thanks much.
