Why is import taking so long?

  I imported the xml file more than 14 hrs back…but it’s still not imported. How much time does it normally take?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  How big is the import file and what was the source (other .com site, a .org site, blogger, xanga, etc.)?

  I’ve tagged this also for Staff assistance.

  Its only 15198 KB. I imported it from a wordpress.org site

  Its only 15198 KB.

  The maximum file size for imports is 15MB — 15198KB is 15.198MB so it’s slightly over the maximum.

  By default, the export option on your WordPress.org site is set to ‘All content’. Instead, you will need to export your content into several smaller files. There should be options for posts, pages, feedback and media. Once you’ve generated new .xml files, try importing them into your WordPress.com site one by one.
