Why is import taking so long?

  I imported the xml file more than 14 hrs back…but it’s still not imported. How much time does it normally take? The .xml is smaller than 13MB.

  Hi –

  Typically it only takes 24 hours. If you’re over that point let me know I will clear it out and then we can give it another try.

  I’ll need to know which importer tool you used. https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/ Or what platform the site was using.

  Thank you for the reply. The import is taking about a week now and I am using a built in importer (i.e. I imported .xml fro wordpress site on my rented domain to transfer to wordpress.com).

  Can you please reset the import, so that I can start it again?

  Sure, I’ve reset the importer on lctriathlete.wordpress.com. I recommend clearing your browser cache and refreshing the page before trying again, just to make sure you have a completely fresh start.
