Why is invited user 'Waiting' never updated after invitation accepted?

  I have several accounts and am trying to add them as administrators. I send and invitation and click the Accept Invitation button in the emailed invitation, but the invited user’s status is never updated; ‘Waiting’ forever.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It could be an issue with the browser or cookies. Try this:

  • Make sure the other account is already logged into WordPress.com
  • Open the invitation email, copy the invitation link at the bottom and manually enter it in the address bar

  If the above doesn’t work, try accepting the invitation from a different browser with the account signed-in.

  I logged out of all WP accounts, then back into the invited account, entered the address manually, and the issue was resolved.
