WHY IS IT SO HARD TO LOG INTO THIS BLASTED SITE?
-
The site keeps asking for a password. I have changed it three times today, but it still won’t accept any of the APPROVED new passwords that I submit.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
The answer is “security”. Your protection against having your blog hacked is s strong password. The software will not accept a weak one.

Gee thanks, Timethief! I never knew that passwords protected the blog from being hacked. To paraphrase Hawkeye Pierce, “You don’t need to tell me the blatantly obvious, the merely obvious is sufficient.”
The site won’t accept the passwords that the site has approved. I’ve changed the password three times already (all approved by the Password Commisar), but when I log in with the new, improved, and approved password, the site says the password is incorrect.

You are, of course, logging in as http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility”>Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog in question, because if you aren’t then the login information (username & password) would not be accepted. ;)
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility -
Don’t worry, the blog is there. And yes, I am logging in with the same admin name.
I logged in earlier today without any problem, the log in information was saved). When I tried to log in again, it asked for the password. I entered my password: invalid. I changed it using the accepted procedure: invalid. I changed it again, according to the accepted procedure: invalid. Now it won’t let me even try to change the password for 30 minutes.
I have better things to do than this.

Please confirm the URL of the blog in question for Staff, so no time is wasted when they eventually get to this thread.
-
Good now all you need to do is subscribe to the thread and wait patiently for Staff to work their way through the threads that were marked for their attention previous to this one.
-
Just tried again, since my 30 minute sentence was up.
Got the new password approved, wrote it down, and copied it.
Logged in with said new password: invalid
Double checked new password, logged in: invalid
Triple checked new password, logged in: invalid.

Maybe this is an issue of capitalization or non-capitalization of the letters and or numbers in the password.

Are you logging in using this link?

After checking three times, I am absolutely positive that the password was entered EXACTLY as you approved.
-
I approved nothing.
You are speaking software so please don’t get personal as it’s silly to do so.I repeat:
Are you logging in using this link?

Speaking “TO” software is just as silly as explaining the purpose of a password, and presuming that the fault is mine.
My point is that the password met with whatever approval is required from the WordPress website, but it still doesn’t work.
I expect more customer service, and less lecturing.

I haven’t lectured you. I’m the longest serving Volunteer at WordPress.com. I have been answering questions here for many years longer than almost all Support Staff have even been on staff.
and presuming that the fault is mine
Exactly where and when did that take place?
The answer is it didn’t.Unfortunately you are projecting, rather than answering my twice posted question.
Are you logging in using this link?

http://utahpropertyrights.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Bottom line: Staff work their way through threads tagged for their attention like this one by dealing with those that have the earliest date and timestamps first, then moving forward to deal with those that have the most recent date and time stamps. Please be patient while waiting for Staff to assist the bloggers who posted before you did.

What happens when you don’t use the https:// log-in but use the http:// log in instead? Have you tried doing that?
