Why is it that my followers son't get an automatic email when I've posted a new entry?

  I have several followers but they don’t seem to be getting an automatic email when I post a new entry? Why is that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Do you know if these followers are WordPress.com users? If they are, it’s possible that they have email notifications turned off in their profile settings and only read followed blogs in the Reader.

  Interesting. I’ll try to find out. Do they have to be wordpress.com users? I’m pretty sure one of them isn’t.

  Hi!

  They definitely don’t have to be WordPress.com users to follow your site. They can also subscribe via email. However, it looks like in your case, the subscribers are all setup through WordPress.com. You can see that here:

  I checked a few of your WordPress.com subscribers, and they were all emailed on 3/23. Could you pass along a WordPress.com username of a user that’s not receiving emails or perhaps their email address? Please note, the email address will appear redacted in the forums, but it will be visible to staff.
