Why is my banner getting cut off when I'm following your specs?

I have now tried two templates and my banner, despite using the specs that you include (if you use these specs, it will be used as is…and my banner is getting cut off?

Hi there, When I visit your site in three browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome), I am seeing your header image without trouble. This is my view:
https://cloudup.com/ckyWQQYJ7ViCan you also look at it in other browsers to let me know if you’re having similar issues with alternate browsers? Take a look at Firefox and Safari.
If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue from your point of view. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when there’s something for me to look at.

Thanks for the fast response. I’m using chrome/mac. and it looks fine. I’m guessing the people having issues are non mac. But why wouldn’t it work fine.. if I follow the specs provided?

It should look absolutely fine, no matter the platform. I suspect they are seeing something strange due to their browser settings.
If you could tell me what browser and version they’re using, I could look into this further.

ah. Yes. My personal blog looks great. The one that I was having trouble with was Thepicmeproject… What I ended up doing was downloading what could be seen and cropping to those specs.. which were not what is listed as the right specs. I tried two different templates. It was very annoying.. but I did figure it out. Thanks for your help!
