Why is my blog name still out there? Not happy WP user.
-
The blog I need help with is – themarketingaid.wordpress.com
My domain name themarketingaid.wordpress.com was created in error. I have followed the WP support instructions and deleted the domain name. However, I still have the following issues, which I am not able to resolve:
– I can still find themarketingaid.wordpress.com showing up in Google search.
– I can still log into WordPress as themarketingaid. Which is an issue for me as it sometimes conflicts with my other blog grahamedavidson.com which is on WordPress.com
– Even though themarketingaid.wordpress.com was deleted I am still able to create blogs. How can this be possible?I am very concerned and upset that I cannot get rid of this blog. I really need WordPress support to help me out here. Basically I would like your support to remove this blog account completely and any traces connected with it. Am I missing something? if so please let me know. Thank you.

Yes, you are missing something. We have no control over this at all and you cannot use the URL removal tool in cases like this.
http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1269119IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

This is a a username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/themarketingaid
When logged in under that username account you can register as many blogs as you wish to register. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/This is the URL of the blog you deleted http://themarketingaid.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names
There are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. A verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If you clicked it and the blog was deleted it’s game over. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/ -

That is not going to happen.

Hi timethief,
Thanks so much for that very prompt reply. OK, I get the point (about SERPS etc) you have made. Much appreciated. However, why am I still able to log onto Wodpress.com as themarketingaid and also create blogs. If the blog and domain name has been removed, I shouldn’t be allowed to do this.
I wish to keep my other WP ID grahamedavidson.com when I log into WP and not keep seeing themarketingaid logged in on my screen. Is this a valid point? Thanks again.

When logged in under that username account you can register as many blogs as you wish to register. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/All you were required to provide to register a username account was an email address and it can be replaced at any time.
Although username accounts are not deleted, so you cannot be impersonated and have your reputation affected by anyone registering the same username in the future, there are steps you can take that amount to removing all personal information and result in leaving only a throwaway email address behind. http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.
2. To unsubscribe from email sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from WordPress.com”:
http://wordpress.com/#!/following/subsettings/3. To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:

Timethief,
Your understanding and articulation of matters is impressive. Your responsiveness is admirable. THANK YOU.
So, before I go away (for now :-)), can I ask the following:
– Why doesn’t WP allow for deleting username accounts?
– What is the idea behind creating a throwaway address? In order to do that one still needs to create a new throwaway email account with a service provider. And after all that, the username account will still be linked to that new “throwaway” email address. Isn’t it? So, what is the point in that? May be I don’t understand the concept properly. -

I assume that’s to free up any email address the member would like to use for another purpose.
