Why is my Blog page empty?

  When I recently added extra pages to my site, I attempted to connect past (and future) blog posts to the Blog page. However, I am unable to actually click on that page, and it isn’t listed under “Pages,” allowing me to change settings. I’d like make my blog posts available via that page, while keeping the About, Portfolio, and Contact pages (and their contents) separate. Thanks for any help you can provide!

  Hi Janet!

  It looks like somewhere along the way, your page called “Blog” was deleted but since you still have a custom menu in place, the “blog” remained in the navigation.

  Here’s my recommendation to start fresh:

  1. Visit your menu settings and delete the custom menu.
  2. Add a new page, naming it “Blog.”
  3. Go to your Settings > Reading, and set “Blog” as your posts page.
  4. After all that, if you’re nav menu doesn’t look as you’d prefer, create a new custom menu.
