Why is my blog showing as private when I link to it on Facebook?

  I just posted a link to my blog on a facebook group and it showed my blog as being private, which it is not. I have checked the privacy settings and I have not changed them . Why did this happen?

  Hi there Freya, When is it displayed that your blog is private? When readers click on the link, or in the actual Facebook link to your site? Was your site ever marked as private? How are you adding a link to Facebook? With Publicize, with your sharing button, or by copying and pasting?

  Please run your site URL, as well as your latest post URL, through the Facebook debugger. This will clear Facebook’s cache, so all information you publicize to it will now be fresh. Here is a link to the debugger:

  https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

  Once you have completed this task, please try to republish the link to your site and let me know what happens.

  The debugger seems to have fixed the problem. I have republished and it seems to be working now.
