Why is my blog still showing the sidebar widgets that I've deleted?

I have deleted widgets from the sidebar, but it’s still showing the search and archives and meta boxes on the right. I’ve deleted my cache and cookies, but they’re still there. I’d like my blog to just have my posts and no sidebar if possible. Can I do this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every theme displays a default sidebar display of what appears to be widgets but isn’t. You go here > Appearance > Widgets and select widgets you want to use, click each one to open, configure where required, click “close” and click “save”. Then your choices will over-ride the default display.

If you do not wish to display any widgets then you can place a single empty text widget at the top of the sidebar, click to open, add nothing, click “save” click “close”.

However, this is your theme description http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/ and I recommend reading it carefully.

    Hi,

Yes I have done that and deleted all the widgets listed for the sidebar, but they’re still showing up?
Could it just be that it needs time? Been several hours now though..

This is not time related issue. Please read what I said above about over-riding the default display. Before you do that I strong suggest you read the theme description so your are fully aware of the customizable options the theme provides.

Sorry didn’t see your second post there – just done that and it’s worked, thanks. I didn’t realize I’d chosen a wedding theme, will look into it, thanks for your help!
