Why is my blogs memory contingent so full?
-
Hello,
I have uploaded around 80MB pictures on my blog, plus some textes and very few links. But in the Dashboard it says I’d already have used 1,4 GB of 3,0 GB of my memory contigent so far (47%).
Why does it say this number? What is the reason for this high amount of used Bites? And what can I do to avoid this high number of used Bites?
Could you please tell me what to do and where this is comming from? Thanks for your help,

Free features are listed here https://en.wordpress.com/features/ WordPress.com provides free blogs and hosts them free of charge. There are no bandwidth charges. All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. Beyond that you require bundled upgrades https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
You need to optimize and presize every image offline before uploading it to reduce your free media storage space allocation. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/03/26/cropper-or-proper-image-preparation/

You have uploaded 455 images, all ranging anywhere from 500 KB to 6 MB in size, bringing you to an accurate total of 1.4 GB.
Timethief provided a great link above with some tips on optimizing your images before upload.
