Why is my child's theme not working? I copied it from Word Press for Dummies.

    I am trying to create a Child’s theme for theme Twenty Eleven.

    I copied the style sheet file onto my Notepad from “Word Press for Dummies”. pg. 349
    I am using the FTP Manager in Go Daddy. Created a folder titled twentyeleven-child theme and placed it in the themes directory. Uploaded the style.css file into that folder.

    When I run Word Press, select Appearance > Themes, it’s not there. What am I not doing right?

    That site is self-hosted and you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where the software you are using is supported.

    These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM hosting service and things here work differently.
