  I do the diagnostic tool and it says to go Domain Management b/c the domain is not linked to my blog- but it is…

  for starters tmzcleaning.com. does not seem to be registered

  Also what is the base blog at WordPress.COM (your-site.wordpress.com) you need help with? We need that to give you accurate help

  I checked whois as well but it makes no sense because this is what my domain management says:

  I have flagged this for the staff – they can look at your billing history I can’t

  It looks like you have domain mapping to a domain that is not registered.

  Domain mapping and domain registration are two different items

  $13.-/yr is only for Domain Mapping

  There needs to be Domain Registration somewhere ($6.-/yr at WordPress.COM) – Prices vary depending on your Registrar

  That was done too – but just to be sure I tried to re-buy the domain name since it said it as available but it said I cannot buy it b.c it is already mapped to a wordpress site???

  Hi Susie,

  As auxclass mentioned, your upgrade was only for domain mapping but the domain itself is no longer registered. (When you map a domain to a WordPress.com site, you also need to keep the domain registered with your domain registrar in order to keep using it here.)

  Since the domain isn’t registered anymore, I just removed that domain mapping upgrade and gave you $13 credit for that domain mapping upgrade you renewed recently. You can now go to the Domains page and register it as a new domain, and that credit will be applied on the checkout page.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
